Her books are available from other UW campuses by using the free <a href=\"http:\/\/wtwlib.wisconsin.edu\/cgi-bin\/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&amp;PAGE=dbPage\">Universal Borrowing<\/a> service. Requested items should be available for pickup at the Circulation Desk in 2-3 weekdays. Her titles include <em>Refuge: an unnatural history of family and place<\/em> (2001), <em>Red: passion and patience in the desert<\/em> (2001), <em>Desert quartet<\/em> (1995), and <em>An unspoken hunger: stories from the field <\/em> (1994), among others. Descriptions of her books can easily be found using online sources such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\">Barnes and Noble<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\">Amazon.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is also possible to read the full text of several of Ms. Williams&#8217; articles for newspapers and magazines online. (One of my favorites is her article &#8220;Places of the Heart&#8221; for <em>National Parks<\/em> (May\/Jun99 issue) that includes the quote<br \/>\n<font color=\"green\"><strong>&#8220;If there is any place sacred in America, worshiped from all walks of life, it is our national parks. Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Great Smokies, Olympic, Zion, Bryce, Acadia, the Everglades, and Grand Canyon \u2014 all of them cathedrals of natural beauty and wonder.
