{"id":9717,"date":"2012-04-25T16:36:32","date_gmt":"2012-04-25T21:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/?p=9717"},"modified":"2012-04-26T08:47:57","modified_gmt":"2012-04-26T13:47:57","slug":"earth-week-events-photos-th-426","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/archives\/9717","title":{"rendered":"Earth Week events, photos Th 4\/26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\">UW-W will have several events celebrating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/news\/archive\/2012-04-earth-week\" title=\"Earth Week 2012\" target=\"_blank\">Earth Week<\/a> on Thurs., Apr. 26, with the theme &#8220;<em>We are All Connected by Rivers<\/em>.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Photos<\/strong> submitted by students, faculty\/staff and community members will be displayed at a variety of venues around campus, including Andersen Library&#8217;s big screen TV (near the entrance and Circulation Desk)!<\/p>\n<ul>Also on Thursday:<\/p>\n<li><strong>9am-2pm<\/strong> (UC275): <strong>Earth Week Expo<\/strong>, focusing on sustainability, an important campus initiative, will consist of businesses and organizations displaying sustainability products and practices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>9:30-10:45am<\/strong> (UC Hamilton Room): <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livinglandsandwaters.org\/about-us\/meet-chad\" title=\"Meet Chad (bio)\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Chad Pegracke<\/strong><\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livinglandsandwaters.org\/\" title=\"Living Lands and Waters web site\" target=\"_blank\">Living Lands and Waters<\/a>, will deliver a keynote talk about his years of experience cleaning America&#8217;s rivers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>noon-1pm<\/strong> (Timmerman Auditorium, Hyland Hall): <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/sustainability\/earthweek\/2012-04-26-4.html\" title=\"Paul Scott info\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Paul Scott<\/strong><\/a>, a founding member of Plug In America, speaks about the transition to electric transportation<\/li>\n<li><strong>1-4pm<\/strong> (Upham Hall parking lot 14): <strong>Hybrid vehicle technology car show<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2-3:15pm or 3:15-4:30pm<\/strong> (depart from Upham Hall parking lot 14): Transportation will take you from the auto show to the LEED-certified Innovation Center for a 1-hour tour of the facility and the new trails surrounding it.
