How many of us have studied this novel for a class? It deals with serious topics including slavery and racism, and it has a long history of being criticized, challenged, and even banned (see the American Library Association&#8217;s lists of the most banned\/challenged books for <a title=\"2000-2009 ALA banned\/challenged books list\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/advocacy\/banned\/frequentlychallenged\/challengedbydecade\/2000_2009\" target=\"_blank\">2000-2009<\/a> and <a title=\"1990-1999 ALA banned\/challenged books list\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/advocacy\/banned\/frequentlychallenged\/challengedbydecade\/1990_1999\" target=\"_blank\">1990-1999<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/images\/library\/blog\/marktw.jpg\" alt=\"Mark Twain book cover\" class=\"alignright\" \/>Andersen Library has several copies of the novel (even <a title=\"Adventures of Huckleberry Finn online\" href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.uww.edu:9443\/login?url=http:\/\/www.netLibrary.com\/urlapi.asp?action=summary&amp;v=1&amp;bookid=56022\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a> and as recorded audio on compact discs), as well as other <a title=\"HALCAT search for Twain, Mark as author\" href=\"http:\/\/wtwlib.wisconsin.edu\/vwebv\/search?searchArg=Twain,%20Mark,&amp;searchCode=NAME&amp;searchType=4\" target=\"_blank\">titles by Mark Twain<\/a>.
