Want to know more and hear from experts from the community and campus about these stories? Andersen Library is hosting a Haunted Book Panel discussion, come find out the truths behind the myths\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panelists include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Linda Godfrey: Author of \u201cThe Beast of Bray Road\u201d, \u201cHaunted Wisconsin\u201d, and many more tales of the paranormal, Godfrey will talk about Whitewater&#8217;s haunted history, including the Pratt Institute, witch&#8217;s triangle, the Poison Widow, the legend of the \u2018Haunted book,\u2019 and more.<\/li>\n<li>Karen Weston: Andersen Library\u2019s archivist of 17 years, Weston will talk about strange campus happenings, including the &#8220;Haunted Book.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Deborah Fratz: UW-W Languages &amp; Literatures professor, Fratz will discuss how institutions such as churches &amp; libraries cultivate legends, the attraction of forbidden knowledge, and the fetishizing of a &#8220;haunted&#8221; object.<\/li>\n<li>Sam Martino: UW-W Communications professor, Martino will share his knowledge of the &#8220;Haunted Book&#8221; &#8211; gained through the research of his students throughout the years.<\/li>\n<li>Communications professor Jim Mead will moderate the event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Refreshments will be provided<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a disability and desire accommodations, please advise us as early as possible.
