Young Auditorium. It&#8217;s the second Spring 2011 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/cls\/about\/lecture\/\">Contemporary Issues Lecture<\/a>, and the &#8220;Distinguished Scholar Lecture,&#8221; sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/cls\/about\/\">College of Letters and Sciences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Bacevich is a retired United States Army officer who graduated from, and previously taught at, West Point. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ir\/faculty\/alphabetical\/bacevich\/\">More information about him<\/a> is available from Boston University&#8217;s Dept. of International Relations.<\/p>\n<p>He has authored several books, including <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=5TND4SpnuxIC\"><em>American Empire: The Realities and Consequences of US Diplomacy<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=WKdchfmimh0C\"><em>The New American Militarism: How Americans are Seduced by War<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=ZnG-ZlzrA_gC\"><em>The Limits of Power: The End of American Exceptionalism<\/em><\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=tI9POJ_lt0cC\"><em>Washington Rules: America\u2019s Path to Permanent War<\/em><\/a>. Andersen Library does not have these books, but UWW students and staff may request them from other UW campus libraries by using the free <a href=\"http:\/\/wtwlib.wisconsin.edu\/vwebv\/selectDatabase\">Universal Borrowing<\/a> service.
