After going through hundreds of answered questions (392 correct ones) and over forty blog comments, we’ve come up with a winner to the trivia challenge.<\/p>\n

Drumroll, please…<\/p>\n

Joseph Carroll<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) What\u2019s a periodical?<\/strong>
\nA) bathroom reading
\nB) a species that only survived for a short time (e.g. dinosaurs)
\nC) a publication issued with regular frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)<\/strong>
\nD) a nasty form of tooth decay<\/p>\n

Although a periodical generally does qualify as bathroom reading, a regularly-published item is the better answer.<\/p>\n

2) If you check out one of our laptops in the library, which floor do you have to be on to use the wireless?<\/strong>
\nA) the main floor
\nB) the first, second or third floors<\/strong>
\nC) all four floors
\nD) the library doesn\u2019t have wireless, silly.<\/p>\n

TRICK QUESTION<\/strong> – a lot of people were thrown off by the all four floors, but we really only have three (I bet that you could get the wireless on the roof though).<\/p>\n

3) You notice that we have movies like the Departed and Batman Begins and you\u2019d like to check them out. How long do you get them?<\/strong>
\nA) two weeks<\/strong>
\nB) two days, just like Blockbuster new releases
\nC) seven hours, thirty-eight minutes and sixteen seconds
\nD) forever and a day<\/p>\n

Sorry kids, we’re better than Blockbuster in that you can have the movies for two weeks. With that much time, who cares about late fees?<\/p>\n

4) What\u2019s the name of the library\u2019s caf\u00e9?<\/strong>
\nA) The Coffee Shhh-oppe
\nB) The Cage in the Corner
\nC) Starbooks
\nD) Food For Thought<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, our coffee shop does brew Starbucks coffee, but its name isn’t Starbooks.<\/p>\n

\nWhy does the University Library Blog have a place for comments?<\/strong>
\nA) We want to hear from you, and the blog presents the perfect medium in which to get that feedback.<\/strong>
