We Have A Story. We Play A Role\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those three statements are the motivation behind the Green\nCard Voices initiative. This initiative was created with the aspiration to give\ncurrent immigrants a voice to share their story and educate others on the\nimmigrant experience in America in a personal and impactful way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Green Card Voices is a non-profit charitable organization\nthat was founded in 2013. The Mission of Green Card Voices is to share the\ndiverse and personal experiences of America\u2019s 40 million immigrants. Today, Green\nCard Voices continues to be a video-based platform that uses digital\nstorytelling to share individual\u2019s immigration stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these individuals have stepped out and are willing to be\nvulnerable with the general public in hopes bridge the gap between immigrants,\nnon-immigrants, advocates, and adversaries across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From October 14<sup>th<\/sup> through the 31<sup>st<\/sup>,\nthe Green Card Voices and their Youth traveling exhibit will be at\nUW-Whitewater\u2019s Andersen Library. The exhibit will then travel to UW-Rock\nCounty\u2019s Lenox Library from November 1<sup>st<\/sup> through the 14<sup>th<\/sup>.\nThere will be a reception for the Green Card Youth Book which served as the\ninspiration behind the creation of this specific traveling display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students, faculty, staff, and community members of both participating\nlibraries are encouraged to visit the locations and visually experience each\nperson\u2019s story by scanning the QR codes on their own personal devices. Each\nstory was thoughtfully documented in an authentic and unbiased way by Green\nCard Voices to honor immigrant\u2019s courage in sharing their experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andersen Library is proud to welcome Green Card Voices to campus\nand more than excited to recognize the contributions that immigrants have and\ncontinue to make to so many areas of American life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage you to take a moment out of your day and come\nvisit the Green Card Voices Youth exhibit.
