It&#8217;s no surprise!&nbsp;Twenty-five children from ages 2&nbsp;to 9 years visited Andersen Library on Friday, April 12, 2019, to participate in the Library\u2019s Seventh Annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover. The children of UW-Whitewater students, staff, faculty, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uww.edu\/childrenscenter\/\">Children&#8217;s Center<\/a>, were invited to participate in a craft and dance party fun followed by a story time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-Emily.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22164 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-Emily-288x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-Emily-288x300.jpg 288w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-Emily.jpg 488w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/a>Art Education student Emily Wozniak coordinated a craft activity with the assistance of volunteer education students Caitlin Frank, Sydney DeWall, and Lauren Blank, during which children created rockets and googly-eye finger puppet martians. The children then joined in dancing with Rockin&#8217; DJ Ben who got them moving with out-of-this-world tunes and a rocketload of balloons.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-craft.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-22170\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-craft-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-craft-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-craft.jpg 603w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ready for a rest, the children then enjoyed stories and action rhymes with UW-W COEPS students, Lexie O&#8217;Halleran and Mackenzie Ausprung. Their selections were&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71331776570002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">We&#8217;re Off to Look for Aliens<\/a> by Collin McNaughton and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/13167167-zoom-rocket-zoom\">Zoom Rocket Zoom!<\/a> by Margaret Mayo.<\/p>\n<p>Before heading home, the children put their stuffed animals down to nap. The stuffies needed it to be alert and ready to dive in to their astronaut training sessions with guest lecturer, Buzz Lightyear.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22167 alignright\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-buzz-300x255.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-buzz-300x255.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-buzz-768x653.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-buzz-1024x871.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2019\/04\/SAS-buzz.jpg 1789w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event fun for all!&nbsp; We are grateful for&nbsp;the many student workers and staff members involved behind the scenes, from blowing up balloons and setting up.
