If the weather is uncooperative, there will be tours of the big telescope to show how it operates, even if the dome has to stay closed. This family-friendly event is part of the state-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsinsciencefest.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wisconsin Science Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There will be examples of how astronomers break light up into a rainbow spectrum to learn about the chemical composition of stars and nebulae. Computers will be set up to look at data from modern telescopes on a \u201ccitizen science\u201d website set up by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/cls\/cls-directory\/profile?id=benjamir\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Bob Benjamin<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Free parking closest to the observatory: Lot 2 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/203+N+Prince+St,+Whitewater,+WI+53190\/@42.8372709,-88.748837,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x8805e0f4d39a73dd:0xb801a38ddb0f2342!8m2!3d42.837267!4d-88.746643\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">203 N. UW-Whitewater students and staff can read articles from <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71357829600002121&#038;context=L&#038;vid=WW&#038;search_scope=WW_VOY&#038;isFrbr=true&#038;tab=default_tab&#038;lang=en_US\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sky &#038; Telescope<\/a>, a magazine for &#8220;the knowledgeable amateur astronomer&#8221; via several EBSCOhost databases, including Academic Search Complete. Other Wisconsin residents can access it through EBSCO databases provided statewide via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.badgerlink.net\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Badgerlink<\/a>, such as MasterFILE Complete.
