Did a disco ball catch your eye when you were trying to study? It&#8217;s no surprise!\u00a0Twenty-five children from ages 2\u00a0to 9 years visited Andersen Library on Friday, April 6, 2018, to participate in the library\u2019s Sixth Annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover. The children of UW-Whitewater students, staff, faculty, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uww.edu\/childrenscenter\/\">Children&#8217;s Center<\/a>, were invited to participate in dance party fun followed by a story time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2018\/04\/dino-dance.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-20891 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2018\/04\/dino-dance-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"children playing with ballons\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Art Education student Emily Wozniak coordinated a craft activity with the assistance of student Library staff members Kayleigh, Katherine, and Gianna, during which children created a fossil using clay. The children then joined in dancing with Rockin&#8217; DJ Ben who got them moving with toe-tapping <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vPrmY7labLA\">We Are the Dinosaurs<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71344585920002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=default_scope&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Laurie Berkner<\/a>, They Might Be Giants&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=B7zo2zY1Zqg\">I am a Paleontologist<\/a>,and more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20958 size-thumbnail alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2018\/04\/dino-Sam-update-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"student reading a picture book\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20957 size-thumbnail alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/library\/files\/2018\/04\/dino-Lexie-update-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"student reading a picture book\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ready for a rest, the children then enjoyed stories and action rhymes with UW-W\u00a0Elementary Education students, Lexie and Samantha, who read book selections for the older children, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71410829200002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">What the Dinosaurs Did at School<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71397729660002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Groovy Joe Ice Cream &amp; Dinosaurs<\/a>, and finally, <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71316018000002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;isFrbr=true&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">How do Dinosaurs Say Good Night<\/a>.Librarian Diana Shull led the toddler storytime with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71305236940002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=WW_VOY&amp;isFrbr=true&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Dinosaur Roar<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71396898470002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Dinosaur Dance!<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71401328170002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Never Touch a Dinosaur<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/fulldisplay?docid=UWI71329225670002121&amp;context=L&amp;vid=WW&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;lang=en_US\">Dinosaur vs. Bedtime<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Before heading home, the children put their stuffed animals down to nap. Do you think they stayed put once their owners left for the night? Not a chance!\u00a0 The stuffed animals stayed up all night and managed some mischief with the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo-explore\/search?query=any,contains,dinosaurs&amp;tab=default_tab&amp;search_scope=UW_VOY&amp;vid=WW&amp;facet=rtype,include,other&amp;lang=en_US&amp;offset=0\">Library&#8217;s resident dinosaurs<\/a> after hours.
