Deesha Dyer will talk about “Diversity in the workplace: Creating intentional opportunities for people of color,” the keynote address for International Women’s Day<\/a> on March 8, 2017 at 5:30 p.m.<\/strong> in the Irvin L. Young Auditorium’s Fern Young Terrace. The talk will be preceded by the annual Women in Leadership ceremony and reception at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Dyer served as social secretary for the Obama Administration from 2015-2017, and also had served as deputy to her predecessor. Prior to working for the White House she was a freelancer writing about music.
