(July 2nd) through Mon. (July 4th), because of the holiday weekend.<\/strong><\/span> Of course, online access to <a title=\"Articles &amp; Databases listing\" href=\"http:\/\/library.uww.edu\/databases-by-title\" target=\"_blank\">databases<\/a> (including articles), the library holdings listed in <a title=\"Books, media and more (UW Whitewater)\" href=\"http:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo_library\/libweb\/action\/dlSearch.do?vid=WW&amp;institution=WW&amp;search_scope=WW_VOY\" target=\"_blank\">Books, media and more (UW Whitewater)<\/a> (including ebooks) and <a title=\"Ask a Librarian chat or email\" href=\"http:\/\/library.uww.edu\/get-help\/ask-a-librarian\" target=\"_blank\">Ask a Librarian<\/a> online assistance via chat will be available.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/images\/library\/blog\/julyfourth.jpg\" alt=\"Flag and fireworks image\" width=\"108\" height=\"133\" \/>But if you&#8217;re taking a break from studies, you can celebrate the holiday!<\/p>\n<p>Whitewater&#8217;s Family Festival runs Fri.-Mon., July 1-4. The <a title=\"schedule\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ww4th.com\/festivalschedule.php\" target=\"_blank\">schedule<\/a> includes a parade at 10am on Monday, the 4th (<a title=\"parade route map\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ww4th.com\/images\/parade\/ParadeRoute.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">parade route map<\/a>), preceded by the <a title=\"Whippet City Mile web site\" href=\"http:\/\/whippetcitymile.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Whippet City Mile<\/a> along the same route and starting at about 9:50am. The Festival also includes midway games, food (pickle on a stick!), music, the annual car &amp; bike show (on the 4th, 8am-3pm), Minneiska ski show (on the 4th, after the parade, on Cravath Lake), fireworks, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Many nearby communities will be celebrating as well, <em>e.g.<\/em>, <a title=\"Milton 4th of July schedule of events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.milton4th.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Milton<\/a> offers softball games, carnival, parade (1pm on the 4th), music, fireworks, and more. The <a title=\"Hoard Historical Museum\" href=\"http:\/\/business.fortchamber.com\/events\/details\/ice-cream-social-07-04-2016-8300\" target=\"_blank\">Hoard Historical Museum<\/a> (401 Whitewater Ave) in Fort Atkinson will host its annual ice cream social on the 4th from 1-3pm with live music and patriotic readings. <a href=\"http:\/\/business.fortchamber.com\/events\/details\/4th-of-july-celebration-8397\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Atkinson<\/a> has additional events scheduled on Saturday July 2nd from 4-9:30pm at the high school (925 Lexington Blvd), such as music, dunk tanks, obstacle course, fireworks and more. Events going on in various Walworth County communities can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitwalworthcounty.com\/\">http:\/\/www.visitwalworthcounty.com\/<\/a> by selecting a date on the calendar.
