Here are some\u00a0shortcuts that can make using Excel even faster and more efficient. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsofttraining.net\/sharing\/15-8-time-saving-shortcuts-excel.html\" target=\"_blank\">Microsofttraining.net<\/a> for all eight tips.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Today&#8217;s Date<\/strong><br \/>\nCtrl +\u00a0semi-colon key<br \/>\nTo ensure the current date is always displayed, simply type &#8220;=Today()&#8221; into a cell and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Lines within a Cell<\/strong><br \/>\nAlt + Enter<br \/>\nPressing just Enter will take you to another cell, so this is the quick way to add lines without moving outside of the current cell.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insert a Comment<\/strong><br \/>\nShift + F2<br \/>\nAdd a comment to a cell without moving the mouse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also remember that you can review the basics of Excel and learn more about its advanced features by viewing the tutorials on <a href=\"http:\/\/go.uww.edu\/lynda\" target=\"_blank\">Lynda.com<\/a> (make sure to use the link here or from the Library&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/library.uww.edu\/databases-by-title\" target=\"_blank\">list of databases<\/a> to be able to access the tutorials using your Net ID and password).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft Excel is a powerful tool for organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
