On Monday, October 5<sup>th<\/sup>, at 7:00PM, in the Summers Auditorium, a number of faith-based student organizations, the UWW <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/sustainability\/\">Sustainability Office<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sage.uww\">S.A.G.E.<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/PEACE\/455000251190136\">P.E.A.C.E.<\/a> are sponsoring a presentation and discussion around faith perspectives on climate change: <a href=\"http:\/\/reslife.uww.edu\/sustainability\/?p=1808\">Faith and Climate Change<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While most recently the Catholic Pope Francis has ignited conversation\u00a0worldwide with his encyclical letter, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/w2.vatican.va\/content\/francesco\/en\/encyclicals\/documents\/papa-francesco_20150524_enciclica-laudato-si.html\">On Care for Our Common Home<\/a>,\u201d Andersen Library has\u00a0many resources which\u00a0provide background to the intersection of religion and environmental interests. A simple\u00a0search in <a href=\"http:\/\/uw-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo_library\/libweb\/action\/dlSearch.do?vid=WW&amp;institution=WW&amp;query=any%2Ccontains%2Cenvironment+AND+religion&amp;search_scope=WW_VOY\">Research@UWW<\/a> results in print and electronic titles from the <a href=\"http:\/\/uw-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/WW:WW_VOY:UWI71363214580002121\">Religion and Sustainability : Social Movements and the Politics of the Environment<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/uw-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/WW:WW_VOY:UWI71319761760002121\">Making Nature Sacred : Literature, Religion, and Environment in America from the Puritans to the Present<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Take a deeper dive into the science, politics and religious issues using the following databases:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.uww.edu:9443\/login?url=http:\/\/search.ebscohost.com\/login.asp?profile=web&amp;defaultdb=eih\">Environment Complete<\/a> database provides access to scholarly research articles in agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine &amp; freshwater science, geography, pollution &amp; waste management, urban planning, and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.uww.edu:9443\/login?url=http:\/\/search.ebscohost.com\/login.asp?profile=web&amp;defaultdb=8gh\">GreenFILE<\/a> focuses on aspects of human impact to the environment. This is for the researcher looking for individual response to environmental issues, such as solar or wind power options; on corporate response such as alternative energies used in the business sector; or on local or government impact such as environmental laws and studies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.uww.edu:9443\/login?url=http:\/\/search.ebscohost.com\/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&amp;profile=ehost&amp;defaultdb=reh\">ATLA Religion Database<\/a> provides information on topics including religion in social issues.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, hear what speakers from a variety of perspectives have to say, and participate in\u00a0the discussion.
