I recently saw the latest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0369610\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jurassic<\/a> flick, which did not disappoint because I&#8217;m a sucker for a huge dinosaur lowering its massive head and bellowing it&#8217;s lungs out&#8211;if the sound is cranked up the whole theater vibrates. And if it&#8217;s loud enough it covers up my out-of-control laughing. I can&#8217;t help it!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/images\/library\/blog\/zoo.jpg\" alt=\"cover of Zoo\" class=\"alignright\" \/>Search Andersen Library&#8217;s holdings of <a href=\"http:\/\/uwi-primoalma-prod.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo_library\/libweb\/action\/dlSearch.do?vid=WW&#038;institution=WW&#038;search_scope=WW_VOY\" target=\"_blank\">books, media and more<\/a> in Research@UWW, and you&#8217;ll find some classics, like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0073195\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Jaws<\/em><\/a> (both the book at 3rd-floor Main Collection PS3552.E537 J3 1974 and the movie in 2nd-floor Browsing DVDs, Feature Films, &#8220;Jaw&#8221;), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0831387\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Godzilla<\/em><\/a> (2nd-floor Browsing DVDs, Feature Films, &#8220;God&#8221;), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0024216\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2\" target=\"_blank\"><em>King Kong<\/em><\/a> (2nd-floor Browsing DVDs, Feature Films, &#8220;Kin&#8221;), as well as more recent things that <em>may<\/em> become classics, like the book by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge that has inspired a TV series by the same title, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/13521611-zoo---free-preview---the-first-23-chapters\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Zoo<\/em><\/a> (3rd-floor Main Collection PS3566.A822 Z96 2012) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0078748\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Alien<\/em><\/a> (2nd-floor Browsing DVDs, Feature Films, &#8220;Ali 3&#8221;). UW-Whitewater students and staff can request materials from other UW campus libraries too, using the free UW Request feature in Research@UWW. So if you&#8217;ve never seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000033\/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm\" target=\"_blank\">Alfred Hitchcock<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0056869\/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Birds<\/em><\/a>, for example, you&#8217;re in luck as there are a few copies among the System libraries. (That movie, BTW, <em>really<\/em> freaked me out when I was a kid. <shudder>)<\/p>\n<p>If you need help finding suggestions, there are a lot of Internet lists of angry animal movies, or please <a href=\"http:\/\/library.uww.edu\/get-help\/ask-a-librarian\" target=\"_blank\">ask a librarian<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are so many choices if you want to read or view something ridiculous about scary critters this summer!
