What better time to travel, especially to warmer places, eh? But if you\u2019re like me, you can\u2019t afford the time (or the travel). Well, a little \u2018armchair\u2019 travel may be the ticket for us.<\/p>\n<p>Andersen Library can help with this. Search the <a href=\"http:\/\/uw-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com\/primo_library\/libweb\/action\/dlSearch.do?dscnt=1&#038;displayMode=full&#038;vid=WW&#038;institution=WW&#038;search_scope=WW_VOY\" title=\"Books, Media and more (UW Whitewater)\" target=\"_blank\">books, media and more<\/a> of Andersen Library to find resources like <em>Rick Steves&#8217; Europe: All 100 shows 2000-2014<\/em> (24 DVDs in Browsing DVDs, Academic, on 2nd floor at D907 .R53 2013). Oh, the places you\u2019ll go! I just recently watched an episode on PBS that featured travel to Prague and other nearby places in the Czech Republic, including the bone church (or ossuary) in Kutn\u00e1 Hora that contains the bones of thousands of people who died of the plague in the 1300s. There is even a YouTube video of a visit to this site:<\/p>\n<p>[youtube]http:\/\/youtu.be\/kXLdNDyu8Hs[\/youtube]<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/images\/library\/blog\/sunburned.jpg\" alt=\"cover of In a sunburned country\" class=\"alignright\" \/>Besides watching travel videos, you can read travel books like Bill Bryson&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=aRV1AAAAMAAJ&#038;source=gbs_ViewAPI\" title=\"summary of In a sunburned country at Google Books\" target=\"_blank\"><em>In a sunburned country<\/em><\/a> (about Australia, available in the 3rd-floor Main Collection at DU105.2 .B83 2000&#8211;I&#8217;ve never been there, but I liked this book!) and <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=NO5sC72BSNgC&#038;source=gbs_navlinks_s\" title=\"summary of Dark star safari at Google Books\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Dark star safari: Overland from Cairo to Cape Town<\/em><\/a> (3rd-floor Main Collection, DT12.25 .T48 2004).
