UWW has a number of faculty that have won awards for their teaching&#8230;don&#8217;t you wish you could sample their lectures? Well, now you can!<\/p>\n<p>The spring 2009 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/conteduc\/fairhaven\/\">Fairhaven Lecture Series<\/a> theme is &#8220;<strong>My Favorite Lecture<\/strong>.&#8221; The series gives you a chance to hear some of UWW&#8217;s award-winning instructors deliver their favorite lectures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jan. 26:<\/strong> What the Heck is Passacaglia? All take place on <strong>Mondays at 3 p.m. <\/strong>at <strong>Fairhaven Retirement Community&#8217;s Fellowship Hall <\/strong>(435 West Starin Road, Whitewater, WI). If you can&#8217;t attend, podcasts of the lectures will be posted at the series web site.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in learning more on the topics of these lectures, the University Library should be able to help you! Searching the <a href=\"http:\/\/wtwlib.wisconsin.edu\/\">Library Catalog<\/a> would find titles such as <em>High Gothic: the classic cathedrals of Chartres, Reims, Amiens<\/em> (3rd-floor Main Collection, NA5543 .J3613 1984); <em>Listening in everyday life: a personal and professional approach<\/em> (3rd-floor Main Collection, P95.46 .L57 1997), and <em>The advertised mind: ground-breaking insights into how our brains respond to advertising<\/em> (3rd-floor Main Collection, HF5822 .D8 2005).
