Or maybe it&#8217;s something Andersen Library does not have<\/strong> and it&#8217;s something a public library might have, <em>e.g.<\/em>, a children&#8217;s book, adult fiction or nonfiction, or audio books? If so, you may be able to get it from the <a title=\"ILY homepage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitewaterlibrary.org\/whitewater\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Irvin L. Young Memorial Library<\/a> (ILY), Whitewater&#8217;s public library at 431 West Center Street.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can search ILY&#8217;s catalog <a title=\"S.H.A.R.E. Libraries catalog, Whitewater Irvin L. Young Memorial selected\" href=\"http:\/\/lsmw.sirsi.net\/uhtbin\/cgisirsi\/x\/0\/0\/57\/49?user_id=WHITEWATERWEB\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a><\/strong> to see what is there. Then you can use materials in the ILY when it&#8217;s open. But if you want to check things out you need a library card.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/images\/library\/blog\/libcard.jpg\" alt=\"clip art of library card, books, computer\" class=\"alignright\" \/><strong>How do you get a library card?<\/strong> If you already have a library card from a public library in Dodge, Jefferson, Racine, Walworth or Washington counties, you can use it at ILY. Otherwise, you can apply for a library card with your photo ID and proof of your local address. If you live in a residence hall the library staff can use the campus online directory (if it shows your residence hall address). If you don&#8217;t live in a residence hall, or the online directory does not show that address, you need some mail that shows your name and local address (like a bill).<br \/>\nCall ILY if you have questions about getting a library card: 262-473-0530.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, if ILY doesn&#8217;t have what you want either, and you can wait for 2-4 weekdays to receive it, <strong>UWW students and faculty\/staff can borrow materials from other UW campus libraries by using the free <a title=\"Universal Borrowing\" href=\"http:\/\/wtwlib.wisconsin.edu\/vwebv\/selectDatabase\" target=\"_blank\">Universal Borrowing<\/a> service<\/strong>. Requested materials usually arrive in 2-4 weekdays (nothing moves on the weekends, when the delivery van is not running, so don&#8217;t count Saturdays or Sundays in the 2-4 days).
