Dec. 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A talk called &#8220;<strong>How old is the Universe and how do we know it?<\/strong>&#8221; will be presented by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.physics.wisc.edu\/people\/faculty\/ptimbie\/\" title=\"Peter Timbie faculty directory page at UW-Madison\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Timbie<\/a><\/strong>, professor of physics at UW-Madison, on <strong>Fri., Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. in Upham 140<\/strong>. It&#8217;s the last entry in the <a title=\"Observatory Lecture Series web page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/news\/archive\/2012-10-observatory-lectures\" target=\"_blank\">Observatory Lecture Series<\/a>, which has the theme &#8220;The Age of Life, the Universe and Everything&#8221; and is meant to explain &#8220;how biologists, geologists and astrophysicists answer questions about the age of the universe and its contents.&#8221; The series is sponsored by the UW-Whitewater Science Outreach Office and the College of Letters and Sciences. The talks are free and open to all!
