The PB Poorman PRIDE Center provides the campus with an inclusive, safe, and fun atmosphere that embraces diversity and allows individuals to explore issues of gender and sexual identities. The PRIDE Center staff strives to support the social, emotional, academic, and professional development of the LGBT* community and allies by providing high quality services, information, and opportunities in order to:<\/p>\n

    \nHost speakers, film nights, safer sex drives, and other social and educational events
    \nProvide resources on:<\/p>\n

  • LGBT* identities and coming out<\/li>\n
  • Sex and gender<\/li>\n
  • Health issues<\/li>\n
  • Heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia<\/li>\n
  • LGBT* rights around the country and world<\/li>\n
  • Intersectional LGBT* identities<\/li>\n
  • LGBT* employment issues<\/li>\n
  • Provide free safer sex information and supplies<\/li>\n
  • Create opportunities for students to build relationships with faculty and staff allies and across identity lines<\/li>\n
