Current Research

I truly believe that through teaching the scientific method and reinforcing those teachings through research projects students gain the ability to answer and solve any environmental issue. Thus, my laboratory research interests are largely driven by the interests of my students. My labs key research themes center on anthropogenic effects on natural ecosystems ranging from coral reefs to lakes and streams of Wisconsin. In addition, I am interested in increasing undergraduate success through outreach and institutional programs (for more on these see Outreach).
