My name is Signe Trewyn, I’m now a senior at UW-Whitewater, my major is Broadcast/Print/Web and my minor is Communication. I was born on July, 10th 1994 which makes me 21 years old. I love being involved in journalism since it gives me the chance to express myself and how I feel about certain issues. I’m also the Assistant Opinion Editor at the Royal Purple-campus newspaper. Last year at the Wisconsin Newspaper Association conference, our paper won 10 awards, one for general excellence. I chose the design for the blog because it is simple while promoting readability and it reminds me of nature and creativity.

I’ve been involved with that for quite a while and I’ve been interested in getting a job where I can show off my skills in print media. I’ve also interned at 104.5 WSLD which is a radio station and radio is another one of my passions, I love talking about music and my favorite artists since they are my favorite and I love it when people say they loved the music I played. At the internship, I learned how to produce and record commercials and I’ve also appeared at the Jefferson and Walworth County fairs as well where I did station promotions.

This is a photo of me on a trip to Wyoming/South Dakota. I did this as a school trip which satisfied a science credit. I really loved being there and I learned many different things about science. Also, my favorite music is pop/rock because I play a show titled “Back to the 80s” on 91.7 the Edge, my favorite artists include: Michael Jackson, U2 and The Black Keys.
