Warhawk Alley End of the School Year Celebration

On Friday, May 3rd, as part of celebrating the end of the 2023-24 academic year, the Warhawk Alley will be hosting an end of the school year celebration, titled Warhawk celebration. This will be the last Warhawk Alley event to enjoy before finals week.

This event will go on until Sunday, May 5th.

Students are welcome to enjoy making last minute memories with their friends by playing pool, air hockey, video games and bowling. It is free for all Warhawk students with the showing of their HawkCard.

While students are at this special end of the year celebration, students have the availability to swipe in their HawkCard for a chance to win a UWW Bookstore $100 gift card.

The Warhawk Alley will also provide snacks, like pizza, chips and other snacks for Warhawk students to enjoy.

Warhawk Alley staff members will play a slideshow, as a way for students to reflect on all the memorable moments they all had during the entire school year, especially seniors as they will be graduating in a few weeks and it is a good way to remember all the fun times they had with their friends and family.

Warhawk Alley staff member, Kelsey Hengst thinks this event is perfect for students to enjoy and celebrate all their hard work throughout the school year.

“So, with the end of this semester, we thought we host a little party for students to just celebrate and look on this past year, here on campus and at Warhawk Alley as well,” said Hengst.

Hengst has also shared some of her favorite moments in the Warhawk Alley this entire school year.

“I’ve really just liked being here at Warhawk Alley in general,” said Hengst. “I’ve met so many new people, so many new faces and I’ve just created a lot of friendships throughout Warhawk Alley.”

Students have shared many of their favorite moments at the Warhawk Alley, whether it would be playing pool, bowling or participating in any special tournament events hosted by the Warhawk Alley.

UW-Whitewater freshman Emily Coughlin has had a few memorable moments she had in the Warhawk Alley and she hopes to accomplish many different things for the 2024-25 academic year.

“My favorite moment at the Warhawk Alley was when one funny song I requested came on the playlist, my friends and I were laughing so hard with how hilarious it was,” said Coughlin.

“I hope to continue making more memories, making more friends and finding new strategies that help me become successful in the future.”

The Warhawk Alley has hosted many different events and tournaments throughout the school year.

These events include the Wii Sports tournament, Mario Kart tournament, ping pong tournament, billiards tournament, bowling bingo and also the nine-pin St. Patrick’s Day bowling tournament.

With all the events and tournaments that have taken place during this school year, students expect the Warhawk Alley to host many more tournaments and events next semester and make more new memories with their friends.
