Universal Design for Learning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Universal Design for Learning (UDL) encourages us to improve our teaching and students&#8217;&nbsp; through a philosophy of &#8220;multiple means&#8221; of representation. This <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2022\/01\/11\/universal-design-for-learning\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2022\/01\/11\/universal-design-for-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\">collection of workshops will explore the fundamentals of UDL<\/a> as a means to engage all learners.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Students Want in Canvas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/my.uww.edu\/SignUp\/Registration\/Details?id=17143\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/my.uww.edu\/SignUp\/Registration\/Details?id=17143\" target=\"_blank\">April 5, 2022 at 1:00PM (via Webex)<\/a><br><br>This training will focus on making a series of small, easy, and optional, shifts from your current course design to a setup backed by feedback from student panels conducted right here at UW-Whitewater. The goal is not to change how you teach, just how students<em> view<\/em> the course. This workshop reviews those results and discusses ways to improve your classroom and teaching to incorporate specific suggestions from the research.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building Better Syllabi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us on either <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/my.uww.edu\/SignUp\/Registration\/Details?id=17147\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/my.uww.edu\/SignUp\/Registration\/Details?id=17147\" target=\"_blank\">April 19 (1:00PM)  or April 20 (9:00AM)<\/a> &#8211; <em>Register by April 13, 2022!<\/em><br><br>What makes a good syllabus, and what makes a good syllabus better? This session will talk about what can be done to improve an existing syllabus, and interesting reworks from the ground up.
