{"id":61577,"date":"2018-11-15T13:49:04","date_gmt":"2018-11-15T19:49:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/?p=61577"},"modified":"2018-11-15T13:49:12","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T19:49:12","slug":"winterim-2019-and-spring-2019-courses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2018\/11\/15\/winterim-2019-and-spring-2019-courses\/","title":{"rendered":"Winterim 2019 and Spring 2019 Courses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Canvas Users<\/strong>: Winterim 2019 and Spring 2019 Courses are now available in Canvas.&nbsp; Now that you have your course \u2013 here is what\u2019s next:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Courses are Unpublished<\/strong>.\u00a0 By default, all courses that are created in Canvas will come across as unpublished.\u00a0 When a course is unpublished, it\u2019s only visible to you \u2013 and students will not see the course.\u00a0 Once you have your content loaded up into the course and ready to go, simply hit the \u201cPublish\u201d button in the top right corner on the course home page.\u00a0 For more information see: <a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/docs\/DOC-13030-415257126\">Canvas Guide: How do I publish a course?<\/a><\/li><li><strong>Course Combinations<\/strong>.\u00a0 Do you want to combine multiple sections of the same course into a single Canvas course?\u00a0 Follow the steps in the <a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/pQKv\">Cross-Listing\/Merging Canvas Courses<\/a> guide.\u00a0 If you need to combine courses that you are not the teacher for or if you have any questions please contact <a href=\"http:\/\/uww.edu\/canvas\">Canvas support<\/a>.<\/li><li><strong>Import your content (Master Course)<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you have been working in a Master (Blank) course inside of Canvas \u2013 great!\u00a0 You can easily copy that content into your semester course and then you\u2019ll be ready to go!\u00a0 Follow these steps to <a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/docs\/DOC-12935-415257077\">Copy Content from an Existing Canvas Course<\/a>.<\/li><li><strong>Import your content (Desire2Learn)<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you want to pull content directly over from Desire2Learn into your Canvas course \u2013 we got you covered!\u00a0 Follow these steps to <a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/HoCc\">Export your Desire2Learn Course and Import it into Canvas<\/a>.
