If so, you might be interested in learning how to use Cisco Webex Teams in your teaching at the Learning Technology Center\u2019s (LTC) \u201cTeaching with Webex Teams Bootcamp!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This fall&#8217;s bootcamp will take place in McGraw 19A on a series of Wednesday afternoons this October (10\/10, 10\/17, 10\/24) from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Please see the testimonial below from a UW-Whitewater faculty member who piloted Webex Teams last fall (when it was called &#8220;Cisco Spark&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d-RGHUIeFhw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>UW-Whitewater has a campus license for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uww.edu\/icit\/services\/webex-teams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Webex Teams<\/a>, so feel free to bring your computer or mobile device to the bootcamp sessions and log into Webex Teams. <em>Be sure to bring your device if you attend the &#8220;hands-on&#8221; session on October 17th!\u00a0<\/em>You can install Webex Teams on a <a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/display\/instructional\/How+to+Download+on+a+Desktop+Device\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">desktop device<\/a>, or on a <a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/display\/instructional\/How+to+Download+on+a+Mobile+Device\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mobile device<\/a>. All faculty and instructional staff are welcome to attend the \u201cTeaching with Webex Teams Bootcamp.\u201d Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Bootcamp Summary:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, October 10, 2018: <em>Why Should I Use Webex Teams?<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration Link:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15660<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This first session introduces participants to Cisco Webex Teams, and why instructors and students might benefit from incorporating it. Participants will be introduced to the concepts of \u201cTeams\u201d and \u201cSpaces.\u201d Facilitators will provide examples to help participants understand what Webex Teams is (and is not), how Webex Teams works, and the purpose in using Webex Teams.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, October 17, 2018: <em>How Do I Use Webex Teams?<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration Link:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15661<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This second session provides participants with a hands-on technical training with Cisco Webex Teams. Participants will practice creating \u201cTeams\u201d and \u201cSpaces,\u201d as well using Webex Teams to communicate and collaborate with others.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, October 24, 2018: <em>Now What Do I Do With Webex Teams?<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration Link:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15662\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/my.uww.edu\/signup\/Registration\/Details\/15662<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This third, and final, session provides participants with a forum to discuss potential applications of Webex Teams in their teaching. Facilitators will provide participants with \u201cbest practices\u201d for using Webex Teams based on recent pilots at UW-Whitewater.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please note: There is no stipend associated with attending the \u201cTeaching with Webex Teams Bootcamp.\u201d However, if you complete all three sessions, you will receive a badge.
