{"id":59133,"date":"2016-08-03T09:51:57","date_gmt":"2016-08-03T14:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/?p=59133"},"modified":"2016-08-03T09:51:57","modified_gmt":"2016-08-03T14:51:57","slug":"turning-point-cloud-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2016\/08\/03\/turning-point-cloud-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Turning Point Cloud Now Available!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-59137\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/07\/turningpoint_cloud_logo_200w.png\" alt=\"turningpoint_cloud_logo_200w\" width=\"200\" height=\"205\" \/>We are happy to announce that TurningPoint Cloud is now available!\u00a0 TurningPoint Cloud has been deployed to all lab and classroom machines and is ready for the upcoming fall semester.\u00a0 <strong>Turning Point 5 is currently also on the machines, but will be removed on Monday, August 22nd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some important items to take note of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Student Licensing Changes.<\/strong>\u00a0 With TurningPoint Cloud, <strong>the student clicker device licensing model has changed<\/strong>.\u00a0 Beginning in the Fall 2016 semester,<strong> all students will need a license<\/strong> to use the Turning Point Cloud software.\u00a0 All new clickers ResponseCard devices being sold at the bookstore will include a 1 year license with the device.\u00a0 After that 1 year, students will need to purchase an additional license to continue using their physical ResponseCard Device.\u00a0 Unlicensed users will not be able to use their ResponseCard with Turning Point.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Direct integration with Desire2Learn (D2L)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Device registration is done right in D2L, and you can easily pull the device roster list into Turning Point, and also easily push grades back up to Desire2Learn.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Net-ID Integration<\/strong>.\u00a0 Instructors and Students will be able to login with their UW-W Net-ID and password.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BYOD<\/strong>.\u00a0 Turning Point Cloud enables students to turn their own device into a clicker by purchasing a license to use phone applications, or directly via a website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enhanced Reporting Tools<\/strong>.\u00a0 The new interface includes some additional analysis and management tools to get the most out of your polling results.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training and Support<\/strong>.\u00a0 The LTC is here to offer basic training and support, but the vendor is also available to schedule ad-hoc training\u2019s and offer support as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For a full list of features, see: <a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/_oRE\">What&#8217;s New in TurningPoint Cloud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have questions regarding TurningPoint Cloud, please contact the us at ltc@uww.edu or 262.472.1004.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are happy to announce that TurningPoint Cloud is now available!\u00a0 TurningPoint Cloud has been deployed to all lab and classroom machines and is ready for the upcoming fall semester.\u00a0 Turning Point 5 is currently also on the machines, but &hellip;
