Many professors use Dropbox as a way to easily collect your assignments so it&#8217;s important to understand how the Dropbox works so you don&#8217;t forget to turn in your assignments!<\/p>\n<p>To get to the Dropbox page, simply click on your\u00a0desired class, and click the Dropbox link located\u00a0in the navigation bar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-58734 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Dropbox-Icon.jpg\" alt=\"Dropbox Icon\" width=\"133\" height=\"52\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first column that you will notice upon clicking the Dropbox link in the course navigation bar is the <strong>Folder<\/strong>\u00a0column. This holds all of the assignments that need to be turned in. There are different types of symbols that can be found next to the assignment folders.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-58735 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Dropbox-Submission.jpg\" alt=\"Dropbox Submission\" width=\"600\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Dropbox-Submission.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Dropbox-Submission-300x89.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Dropbox-Submission-500x148.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-58736 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Plagerism-Symbol.jpg\" alt=\"Plagerism Symbol\" width=\"118\" height=\"28\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0symbol to the right\u00a0means that this assignment is \u201cOriginality Check Enabled\u201d so that professors can check and verify that the work you submit is 100% your own.<\/p>\n<p>The second symbol means that the folder contains a group assignment.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-58740 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Group-Symbols1.jpg\" alt=\"Group Symbols\" width=\"158\" height=\"26\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Group-Symbols1.jpg 158w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Group-Symbols1-150x26.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 158px) 100vw, 158px\" \/>\u00a0In a group Dropbox assignment, any one person could submit something to it, but the score and the feedback for that submission will be given to everyone within the group.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Score<\/strong>\u00a0column is where the professor enters in your grade in the form of a numeric fraction. If nothing has yet been submitted, or if the professor has yet to enter in your grade, then it will show a dash instead of a number (ex. <strong>&#8211; \/ &#8211;<\/strong>). In the case displayed below; a perfect score would be\u00a05\/5.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-58741 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/capture-3.jpg\" alt=\"capture 3\" width=\"172\" height=\"112\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Under the <strong>submissions<\/strong> column you can see how many times you have submitted an assignment, as shown\u00a0above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feedback<\/strong> \u00a0is what your professors give you in response to what you have submitted. This might be just your grade or a rubric sheet of the professor\u2019s own creation. It could even be a response to your work; explaining in detail why you got the grade that you did.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-58748 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/feeback-due-date.jpg\" alt=\"feeback-due date\" width=\"123\" height=\"111\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally, last but certainly not least, is the <strong>Due Date<\/strong>\u00a0column.\u00a0Professors are able to choose when assignments are due so pay close attention to the due date column so you don&#8217;t forget to turn your assignments in on time!<\/p>\n<p>Submitting something to D2L can be tricky from time to time; so I will go through it step by step.<\/p>\n<p>First you click on the <strong>Folder<\/strong> column that you would like to make a submission to.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-58759 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/capture5.jpg\" alt=\"capture5\" width=\"182\" height=\"98\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on the \u201c<strong>Add a File<\/strong>\u201d button and then click &#8220;<strong>upload<\/strong>&#8221; to choose your assignment\u00a0from its saved location, or you can drag and drop your assignment into the box.\u00a0If you would like to add something that you have saved to your <strong>locker <\/strong>or <strong>ePortfolio<\/strong>; you may do that as well.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-58761 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Upload-a-file1-300x232.jpg\" alt=\"Upload a file\" width=\"300\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Upload-a-file1-300x232.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Upload-a-file1-388x300.jpg 388w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2016\/03\/Upload-a-file1.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you are finished choosing, click the blue \u201c<strong>Add<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>You are free to write additional details about the submission or the assignment in the white box below. When you click on it, basic writing and editing tools appear.
