{"id":58074,"date":"2015-01-08T13:13:34","date_gmt":"2015-01-08T19:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/?p=58074"},"modified":"2015-01-08T13:18:12","modified_gmt":"2015-01-08T19:18:12","slug":"desire2learn-grid-view-is-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2015\/01\/08\/desire2learn-grid-view-is-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Desire2Learn Grid View is Back!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As many of you remember, when we took our last D2L upgrade over the summer, the discussion tool got a major overhaul.\u00a0 There were some key features that were not included in the new version.\u00a0 <strong>D2L has heard our feedback, and we are happy to announce that the Grid View and the Print all Threads option has returned!\u00a0 <\/strong>These features were included in Service Pack 13, which was deployed on Thursday, January 8th, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The Reading View will remain the default view for all courses.\u00a0 Individual users can set a Default View on the &#8220;Account Settings&#8221; page.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_ZjtG99SJ84?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We have created the following step by step guides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/3JAl\" target=\"_blank\">Printing all Threads in a Discussion Forum<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/0pAl\" target=\"_blank\">Setting your &#8220;Default View&#8221; for Discussions<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/spaces.uww.edu\/x\/1pAl\" target=\"_blank\">Switching Between Grid View and Reading View<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other issues fixed in this update:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calendar:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fix: Previously deleted event occurrences are no longer recreated unexpectedly when users edit a recurring event in Calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Discussions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fix: Users&#8217;
