{"id":57512,"date":"2014-02-28T13:29:15","date_gmt":"2014-02-28T19:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/?p=57512"},"modified":"2014-02-28T13:29:15","modified_gmt":"2014-02-28T19:29:15","slug":"desire2learn-service-update-227","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/2014\/02\/28\/desire2learn-service-update-227\/","title":{"rendered":"Desire2Learn Service Update (2\/27)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-604 alignright\" alt=\"Desire2Learn logo\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/instructional\/files\/2011\/12\/d2l_logo.png\" width=\"212\" height=\"43\" \/>On Thursday, February 27th, Desire2Learn Inc. deployed Service Pack 14 to our D2L learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the fixed issues listed below, this update includes a hotfix for several performance fixes including quiz query performance and delayed or problematic launching of external learning tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>External links now open correctly in a new tab or window when they are accessed from the Content Browser widget.<\/li>\n<li>When inserting a URL Quicklink into a Content item, insecure content links (http) now automatically convert to secure links (https) or are set to open as external links in a new window to help mitigate blocked content errors caused by browser security changes.<\/li>\n<li>Adobe Presenter package in Content Viewer now maintains the viewing window size and no longer increases unnecessarily.<\/li>\n<li>When using a larger font size, user-generated content now renders correctly without text overlap.<\/li>\n<li>Frames now size correctly within Learning Environment webpages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HTML Editor:<\/strong> When using Internet Explorer 9, the browser no longer crashes when users use the HTML Editor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dropbox:<\/strong> An error message no longer displays to users when they view Dropbox due date notifications in the Minibar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ePortfolio:<\/strong> Changing item sharing visibility now works correctly at the org level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Package Converter: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Content files no longer contain broken links when using the course conversion service for Blackboard 9.1 packages.<\/li>\n<li>Descriptions for Content objects (i.e., modules and topics) now convert correctly for Blackboard 9.1 course packages.<\/li>\n<li>Support was added for converting Significant Figures question types in WebCT packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns about the service pack updates, please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uww.edu\/desire2learn\/contact-d2l-support\" target=\"_blank\">contact UW-W D2L Support<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, February 27th, Desire2Learn Inc. deployed Service Pack 14 to our D2L learning environment.
