{"id":67,"date":"2017-02-18T19:05:48","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T19:05:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/?p=67"},"modified":"2017-02-23T02:23:01","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T02:23:01","slug":"not-your-average-chocolate-chip-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/2017\/02\/18\/not-your-average-chocolate-chip-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Not Your Average Chocolate Chip Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Friday!<\/p>\n<p>The weather is absolutely gorgeous out today and it&#8217;s beginning to look a lot like spring..in February. \u00a0Nonetheless, it makes me really want to go on a hike or something. \u00a0I will definitely have to make some time for that. \u00a0Anyways, I was raiding my fridge and pantry trying to figure out what to munch on for a snack. \u00a0I then discovered that I had neglected to eat the rest of my bananas before they went very, very&#8230;very overripe.<\/p>\n<p>I was trying to figure out what to do with them. \u00a0Bananas can be used for so many substitutes: eggs, baking oils, etc. \u00a0So, I decided on making some chocolate chip cookies! \u00a0 Keeping in mind, we are supposed to keep things frugal and outside the box, I am putting my own little spin on your average chocolate chip cookies. \u00a0Only 3 ingredients for multiple servings! (12 cookies).<\/p>\n<p>Cost per serving: $1<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>-2 ripe bananas (.50 cents)<\/p>\n<p>-1 cup of quick oats (.25 cents)<\/p>\n<p>-1\/4 cup of chocolate chips (.25 cents)<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees<\/p>\n<p>2. Combine banana and oats in the bowl thoroughly and add chocolate chips over time<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_8157.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-70\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_8157-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8157\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_8157-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_8157-577x1024.jpg 577w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/frugalfood\/files\/2017\/02\/IMG_8157.jpg 639w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. Distribute to sprayed cookie sheet<\/p>\n<p>4. Bake for 15 minutes for deliciousness<\/p>\n<p>5.
