The event will take place at the\nUW-Whitewater campus on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor of Heide Hall in Rooms 460 and\n466 on Wednesday, October 16<sup>th<\/sup> from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The\nevent is free and open to the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International\nstudents from China, Japan, Zimbabwe, Italy, Russia, and France will host the interactive,\neducational event as they offer up Wisconsin cheese along with bits of\nWisconsin dairy history and fun facts about select Wisconsin cheese companies.&nbsp; There will be games, displays, survey\nresults, and an unusual variety of cheese to sample. The public will have the chance\nto try some specialty cheeses, learn some new information, chat with some of\nour UW-Whitewater international students, and vote for their favorite cheese. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Cheese\nTasting is always our most popular event with the campus and by far the most\nrewarding for our international students,\u201d says Anjie Kokan, ELA instructor and\ncoordinator. \u201cWe are especially excited that it\u2019s our five-year anniversary\nthis year, and we are happy to celebrate that with our campus and community through\na project-based learning event.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brianna\nDeering, ELA coordinator and Business English teacher for international\nstudents adds, \u201cThe business students gain the opportunity to research\nWisconsin cheese companies, and then they create flyers and displays\nhighlighting the feature cheeses from the companies. It\u2019s a great way to tie\nbusiness and culture together in an authentic learning environment.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year,\nstudents from Dr. Rossitza Ivanova\u2019s English US Culture class will be\ninterviewing people in the campus and community prior to the event to establish\nwhat kind of cheese is Whitewater\u2019s favorite.
