A few weeks ago, Carlos Tevares, CEO of Stellantis , the parent company of Dodge, released a statement relating to the model that will be replacing the Challenger and Charger models. Tevares is quoted as saying that this Dodge EV will make a sound that you cannot imagine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

At first the new electric vehicle was unofficially referred to as the electric Challenger. But now a few months later, it is being referred to as just Dodge EV which makes me nervous about a possible end of the Challenger line and introduction of an entirely new brand. I think it would be a mistake to not keep the Challenger and Charger names as that would greatly help the vital task of bringing current Dodge fans into the future. Do not erase the name they know so well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The importance of this article is that it addresses the issue of sound. Electric vehicles are near silent while muscle cars are loved for how loud they are. So, Dodge has (though not revealed how) designed a sound to be made by this new EV that is described by Dodge brand chief, Tim Kuniskis, as “shocking”; and stated that engineers are working to make it “louder and more extreme”. Very welcome news to any Dodge fan. Dodge has also stated that this EV will be the fastest production car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, fans only have very brief nondescript teaser trailers and official images to go off of until the full reveal that’ll happen sometime in the future. The teasers, like the image above barely give an outline of what the vehicle will look like with a new logo made to get people interested and on the edge of their seat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
