This week, Dodge found the brand ambassador they started the search for back in December.
On Tuesday, Preston Peterson of South Carolina became Dodges first Chief Donut maker after being chosen out of over 170,000 entries and proving himself the best of the top 10 finalists.
Peterson went up against the other top 10 finalists in a reality style competition hosted at the Radford Racing school in Arizona where they had to prove their driving ability and knowledge on the spot.
The new Chief Donut maker will be the main Dodge ambassador for a year attending car events around the country and will be instrumental in converting costumers in the transition from gas to electric in the coming year.
Peterson offered a unique story in that he left Dodge for Porche in terms of being a customer a while ago due to “frustration” he experienced with Dodge. But he came back and gave Dodge another shot, switching back from Porche because he missed the community. This experience isn’t something every die -hard Dodge fan has and gives him unique perspective on the industry. This perspective played a role in his selection for the position as stated by Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis.
Hopefully this venture into finding an actual influencer position pans out into a yearly occurrence because it will allow Dodge to stand out above the rest with how they care for their clients. Maybe make a hall of fame at their headquarters of winners.
This was a very interesting read. I had never heard about this competition and it seems that it changed this man’s entire life. Especially considering he left Dodge for Porsche, it really showcases his fandom for Dodge. Now he has an opportunity to start the new wave of electronic cars and become the face of electronic Dodge automobiles.
