Mental health should not be a taboo subject. We all struggle with mental health in some way, shape, or form! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About five years ago, I was at a really low place in my life. I wasn&#8217;t sleeping, had high anxiety, and felt very emotionally drained. I was lucky enough to have a great support system to provide me with the help I needed. I started going to therapy&#8230;BEST DECISION EVER! I am obsessed with theory! Finding someone to discuss the good, bad, and ugly with is so important. I used to hold everything in and feel stuck in my life. My therapist has helped me grow into a healthier and happier person. She taught me a variety of coping mechanisms, stress relievers, communication techniques, and so much more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/discoveringwellness\/files\/2021\/03\/43588759_1172163276254761_1231594894468841472_o-1024x1005.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-78\"\/><figcaption>Facebook: The Crossing Counseling Services<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Why take your mental health seriously? Mental health is the root of your wellness, physically and mentally. It is important to put yourself first. Without the proper mental health techniques, you may find yourself in very dangerous situations. Mental health is just as important as your physical health. It&#8217;s just as important to exercise your mind as it is to exercise your brain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions or additional comments, let me know in the comments!
