~There are many health benefits found within the forest! Being in nature is mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, existentially beneficial to us 🙂

 

  • Shinrin-yoku: taking in the forest atmosphere or “forest bathing”. In 1982, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries coined this term for spending time in forests! The ministry encourages people to visit forests to relieve stress and improve health.
  • “Nature deprivation”: A lack of time in the natural world, largely due to hours spent in front of TV or computer screens, has been associated, unsurprisingly, with depression.
