Then crockpot recipes are exactly for you. Being in college, a crockpot can be a saviour. After a long day you&#8217;ll be able to come home to a warm, home cooked meal with no prep. My favorite, CHILI! Over the years, my dad has made numerous recipes, and I think we found a great one. Much like other recipes on my blog, you can easily modify and add ingredients!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">olive oil<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">lbs<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">lean ground beef<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">clove<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">of <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes\">minced garlic<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">(14.5 oz) can<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">diced tomatoes<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1.5<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">(8 oz) cans<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">cans tomato sauce<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1\/4<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">beef broth<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0tablespoon\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">chili powder<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoon<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">ground cumin<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoon<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">paprika<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1\/2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoon<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">granulated sugar<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Salt &amp; pepper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">(15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">(15 oz) can light red kidney beans, drained and rinsed<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spiral noodles (optional)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"ingredient-item\">\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredients\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><strong><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Shredded cheddar cheese<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sour cream<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Saute garlic in a pan with olive oil, then pour ground beef in pan and cook until brown. Drain grease. Once meat is browned, add each ingredient into a large bowl and mix together. Pour the mixture of every ingredient into the crockpot. Set the crockpot on low with the cover on for 5-6 hours. Stir occasionally for better results! If you would like, cook noodles in a side pan and add to chili. Once it is done, serve in a bowl with shredded cheese and sour cream to make it even better!
