{"id":262,"date":"2026-02-18T09:53:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T15:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/catlst\/?p=262"},"modified":"2026-02-18T09:53:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T15:53:47","slug":"open-call-for-2026-2027-catlst-fellows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/catlst\/2026\/02\/18\/open-call-for-2026-2027-catlst-fellows\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Call for 2026-2027 CATLST Fellows!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Center for Advancement in Teaching, Learning, Scholarship, and Technology (CATLST) is excited to share that we are seeking applicants for two faculty\/instructional academic staff\u00a0fellows\u00a0for the 2026\u20132027 academic year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;CATLST&nbsp;Fellowship Program is designed to strengthen the center\u2019s work and support faculty and staff in building leadership skills and campus visibility.&nbsp;CATLST&nbsp;fellows&nbsp;will focus on program planning, development, and assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CATLST\u00a0Fellows\u00a0play key leadership roles in identifying campus instructional support needs, as well as developing and delivering high-impact teaching and learning programming that supports instructional growth, highlights effective teaching practices, and fosters collaboration across disciplines.\u00a0CATLST\u00a0Fellows play a significant role in developing and implementing high-quality assessment strategies to evaluate program impact and guide ongoing improvement.\u00a0 Faculty and instructional academic staff who are passionate about the following are strongly encouraged to apply:\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>teaching and learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>building campus leadership skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fostering cross-disciplinary partnerships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>supporting the professional development of their peers \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day to Day duties of the position may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review existing center programs, workshops, and resources to identify opportunities for improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with campus units and departments to best align programming with institutional goals and strategic priorities in teaching and learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop innovative programming formats (e.g., micro-learning sessions, teaching showcases, lightning talks, teaching sprints, flipped workshops, pop-up sessions, online learning modules, or hybrid events) to meet evolving faculty needs and explore emerging teaching topics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate on the development of\u00a0CATLST\u00a0signature programming including book clubs, faculty college share-outs, First Year Program, Chairs Council, and the spring teaching and learning conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curate and share resources (articles, podcasts, videos, and exemplars) to complement new and existing programming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support communication and marketing efforts that promote center offerings and highlight innovation in teaching practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design and implement assessment plans to evaluate effectiveness and ensure\u00a0CATLST\u00a0programming remains relevant, practical, and responsive to evolving instructional challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commit to twice monthly in-person 60 minute team meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tenured or tenure-track faculty or at least 50% FTE instructional academic staff status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of effective, student-centered teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to an accessible, supportive learning environment for all<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with research on effective pedagogy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of sustained engagement in professional development in teaching &amp; learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evidence of previous engagement with\u00a0CATLST\u00a0(previously LEARN\/LTC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with program assessment, evaluation, or data-informed decision-making in educational settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Benefits of the Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Significant opportunity to engage with diverse communities of practice across campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greater visibility at the institutional and state level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced opportunity to contribute to evidence-based improvements in teaching and learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced intellectual growth and development in the area of program evaluation and instructional effectiveness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased opportunity to expand and develop institutional leadership skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with a great team!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty&nbsp;fellows&nbsp;are expected to spend roughly&nbsp;<strong>10 hours per week (on average) doing&nbsp;CATLST&nbsp;work<\/strong>.
