SUMMARY:UDL: Executive Functioning
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nAre your students struggling to meet deadlines\, sho
 w up to class\, or stay focused on the task at hand? The reason could be a
  lack of Executive Functioning (EF)–the brain's management system for pl
 anning\, focusing\, organizing\, and regulating emotions. It’s a skill t
 hat everyone has to varying degrees. Executive Functioning is especially c
 hallenging for those with autism\, a traumatic brain injury\, ADHD\, dysle
 xia\, depression\, stereotype threat\, and even stress. In this session\, 
 learn how to apply UDL guidelines focused on EF in your course to help stu
 dents be successful in class and beyond.\nSession Outcomes\n\n 	Describe h
 ow executive functioning affects students’ learning and participation in
  college courses.\n 	Identify UDL strategies that support students’ emot
 ional capacity\, knowledge building\, and strategy development.\n 	Develop
  a plan to add or improve one UDL strategy that supports executive functio
 ning in their course.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring in their lap
 tops or tablets. This session will be held in McGraw 1 and virtually via
