DESCRIPTION:Register Here!\n\nLearn how to create lecture slides and videos
  that are accessible to all of your students. The session will focus on se
 veral key areas\, including layout\, navigation\, font style\, color\, alt
  text\, descriptive text\, multimedia\, recording higher-quality video and
  audio\, and university resources. Participants will interact with a live 
 demonstration on how to use various tools to make their slides more access
 ible and understand how a variety of students perceive their slides. The w
 orkshop will end with an open lab\, where participants can edit or adapt t
 heir slides with the help of CATLST experts. The hosts will also demonstra
 te how to use Kaltura captioning services to help instructors improve the 
 quality of their videos and make them more accessible.\nSession Outcomes\n
  After completing this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n 	Impl
 ement accessible design principles in slide presentations to enhance reada
 bility and comprehension for all students.\n 	Evaluate existing presentati
 on slides using accessibility-checking tools and guidelines to identify po
 tential barriers and areas for improvement in lecture slides.\n 	Implement
  accessibility best practices when producing video lectures to enhance com
 prehension for all students.\n 	Generate accurate closed captions using Ka
 ltura captioning services and edit captions to ensure proper spelling\, pu
 nctuation\, and synchronization with video content.\n\nParticipants are en
 couraged to bring in their laptops or tablets.\n\nThis session will be hel
 d in McGraw 19a and virtually via Webex.
