DESCRIPTION:Register Here!\nEnsure your Canvas course(s) meet(s) accessibil
 ity standards through practice. The workshop will begin with an introducti
 on to the basics of layout\, alt text\, descriptive hyperlinks\, color con
 trast\, lists\, and headings. We will also discuss how the Canvas Accessib
 ility Checker can help you develop and check for digital accessibility in 
 your course. The workshop will conclude with an optional open lab\, allowi
 ng participants to work on their courses with CATLST experts.\nSession Out
 comes\nAfter completing this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n 
 	Identify key accessibility features in Canvas\, including layout\, headin
 gs\, lists\, color contrast\, alt text\, and descriptive hyperlinks\, in a
 lignment with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.\n 	Organize course content using head
 ings\, lists\, and layout tools so materials are easier to navigate.\n 	In
 tegrate accessibility considerations into the regular course development w
 orkflow to proactively address potential barriers.\n 	Utilize the Canvas A
 ccessibility Checker effectively to identify and resolve common accessibil
 ity issues within course content.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring 
 in their laptops or tablets.
