As the semester kicks off, the Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning, Scholarship, and Technology (CATLST) is here to support you with workshops, resources, and opportunities to strengthen your teaching and scholarship this fall.

Digital Accessibility Trainings
With the April 2026 federal deadline approaching, now is the time to ensure your courses meet accessibility standards. Each session offers practical, hands-on strategies to make your materials more inclusive. Join one of our Accessibility in Action (AiA) workshops this month:

AI Trainings
Explore how artificial intelligence is shaping teaching and learning. These sessions complement Auburn University’s asynchronous Teaching with AI course, supported by the Provost’s Office:
- AI Community of Practice – September 10 at 2 p.m. (Zoom)
- Teaching with AI: Orientation & Inspiration – September 17 at 2 p.m. (Hybrid)
- AI Misuse: Detection & Prevention – September 23 at 2 p.m. (Hybrid)
Other Opportunities
- Provost Teaching & Learning Grants – Applications due September 19.
This year’s theme: Preparing for Generation Alpha. The program will award fifty $1,000 grants to faculty and instructional academic staff seeking to integrate new educational methods into their classrooms and learning environments. - Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Mentors – Apply by September 14. The Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) provides eligible students (freshman, sophomores and transfer students) with an hourly paid research opportunity to assist faculty/staff mentors with their research projects for up to 125 hours in one academic year.
