Toxic and unhealthy relationships come in all shapes and sizes. Those who feel uncomfortable in their own relationship and feel like they can’t be themselves might be experiencing an unhealthy relationship. Here are some more signs that hint that you might be in an unhealthy or toxic relationship:
- Physical abuse or harm.
- If your partner pushes you, hits you, and/or destroys your things.

- Control
- Your partner controls your actions as well as who you see and what you wear. This characteristic in a relationship is usually followed by threats of leaving the relationships or harming you or themselves.
- Humiliation
- Your partner makes fun of you, calls you names, or puts you down in public or in front of friends and loved ones.
- Anger
- Your partner gets angry easily and you are not sure what triggers it or when it will happen.
- Pressure
- Your partner pressures you into doing things you do not want to do or are uncomfortable with (i.e. sex, lying to someone of their behalf, use of drugs or alcohol). Treats are usually followed.
- Jelousy
- Your partner can get extremely jealous and possessive easily.
