Liberty Falls Cinematic Breakdown

We’ll meet again
Don’t know where
Don’t know when
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day
That all too familiar tune from the final cinematic of Cold War zombies returns with the camera panning over an amazing autumn forest. Reds, oranges, and yellows are scattered amongst the greens. As we see leaves falling down to the forest floor, we see a radio- wait a second. So, I get this is a dream sequence, but let’s say in the actual moment, Richtofen was listening to We’ll Meet Again while hanging out with his family. You’re telling me that when Requiem is captured, he’s still listening to that song? Richtofen really needs to update his playlist, sheesh.
Richtofen’s wife shivers, which, of course, signifies that she does not have a voice actor. Richtofen leaves to get her sweater, unknowing that Weaver will later start a fire to keep his wife and child warm. Richtofen gets heartburn, but before we see his family playing in the flames, a scar is revealed on his neck. Remember when Blood of the Dead first came out and people were making theories based on Richtofen’s scars? Very unfortunate stuff.
Eddie wakes up from his nightmare in Liberty Falls, West Virginia. Unfortunately, there’s a dimensional breach in progress. Good thing Richtofen is prepared- he has a Wunderwaffe chilling in his room. Richtofen utilizes it to his fullest potential by slaying the undead horde. It should be mentioned that there is a staircase that he goes down. At first glance, you may think it is the Kino Der Toten stairs, but we cannot be too sure- the chandelier is not shown.
The Director takes an elevator to Samantha, but Sam is up to her usual hijinks and utilizes her Dark Aether abilities to disarm Richtofen. The trailer ends with the reveal that Samantha and Sophia (Gorod Krovi, Revelations) have come together as one aetherial unit (Samantha is a ball now).
