It may seem obvious at first, but there have been times in the past I have seen bikes left out in the open with no locks. The first bike lock that I want to talk about is the Kryptonite New-U New York Lock. This lock comes out to around $112. That may seem like a lot, but two of the main strengths of this lock is that it is not only high security, but is also relatively lightweight. The lock also comes with 16 millimeter hardened steel shackle. Another bike lock that I want to talk about is the OnGuard Brute LS. This bike lock is much cheaper than the previous lock, which is about $51. Two of the main strengths are that is secure and also has a wide shackle that offer even more lock-up options. Personally, I would be willing to pay more for a quality bike lock if it was actually more secure compared to what else was on the market at the current time. The third bike lock that I want to talk about is the Hiplok DX lock. The difference between this lock and the previous two locks I mentioned is that the Hiplok DX lock is that it is able to clip to a biker\u2019s waistband. This is actually really helpful because it no longer needs to be put in pockets which can get uncomfortable extremely quickly. These are just three popular bike locks that are on the market, but there are many more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Bike locks are absolutely critical when it comes to biking.
