Mike Trout Slides in Under Radar and Signs Record Deal

On March 18th of 2019 Mike Trout an outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim became the highest paid current player, surpassing Bryce Harper and Manny Machado who I previously had blogged about.

Trout’s contract was a 12 year $430 million deal. No one really saw this deal coming because Trout’s contract was not up. He made it known to organizational and management staff that he wanted to be a part of the long term building of this team. Bryce Harper and Mike Trout have been compared to each other since they both entered the league in 2010. Trout has however proven to be the more dominant player with 500 more at bats than Harper allowing him to have 60 more home runs and a .025 better batting average throughout their career so far. If you ask anyone close to baseball no one would deny the fact that Trout deserves this contract, we will now look forward to see how Trout plays in these next 12 years of this immense contract.
