After signing one of the league’s biggest contracts in the off-season Bryce Harper is slumping quite hard. The hitter has had 14 plate appearances in which 4 of them he has reached base with a walk, 5 of hem have resulted in a strikeout and the other 5 have resulted in him getting out.
With this being said he has yet to get a hit which is not a good look for a player in the first year of his brand new contract. Granted this is just spring training and has no meaning or value towards the regular season it is a little questioning for the Phillies organization who just invested millions of dollars into the player. We will have to keep an eye on this situation and keep updated as the regular season rapidly approaches.
