UWW Music Faculty Perform at International Festival in Scotland

UW-Whitewater music faculty members Frank Hanson and Linda Kimball performed at the 2010 Scottish International Festival of Trumpets in Elgin, Scotland in June. Frank and Linda were invited to perform on the conference, and prepared a program of 20th century chamber music for trumpet, horn and piano by American and French composers. They were joined by Scottish pianist Isobel Burnie for their program, which included works by Eric Ewazen, David Bilger, Pierick Houdy, and Sharon Davis. The concert was performed in beautiful St. Giles Church in the city center of Elgin. The Scottish International Festival of Trumpets featured trumpet artists from the United States, Scotland, England, Italy, and Singapore. Frank (trumpet) and Linda (horn) have has been members of the UWW music faculty since 1983. After the conference Frank and Linda (who are husband and wife) enjoyed a vacation in Scotland with their two sons, visiting Lanark, Edinburgh, Inverness, and many of the towns and villages in the northern Highlands and coastal Moray region of Scotland. http://facstaff.uww.edu/hansonf
