{"id":80,"date":"2019-11-12T01:14:44","date_gmt":"2019-11-12T01:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/alyssaholliman\/?p=80"},"modified":"2019-11-12T01:14:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-12T01:14:45","slug":"associates-vs-bachelors-degree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/alyssaholliman\/2019\/11\/12\/associates-vs-bachelors-degree\/","title":{"rendered":"Associate&#8217;s vs Bachelor&#8217;s Degree"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The purpose of this blog post is to talk about my personal experience of how to get ready for an Associates degree compared to a Bachelor&#8217;s degree. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-pale-pink-color\"><strong>Associate&#8217;s:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting an Associate&#8217;s  degree is easy because there is a whole outline of classes you need to  take. You don\u2019t have to decide because it\u2019s already chosen for you. It  wasn\u2019t stressful because I didn\u2019t have to worry about what I wanted to  do. All I had to do was make sure I didn\u2019t fail the class. When it was  time to graduate there was only about 60 people. Not a lot of people get  an Associate&#8217;s degree because it\u2019s not very helpful when getting a good paying job. Once I graduated with my degree, I felt accomplished because I knew I was 2 years done and I only had 2 more to go to get my Bachelors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-pale-pink-color\"><strong>Bachelor&#8217;s: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> When you choose a major\u00a0and minor there is a certain amount of credits  that they contain. To be able to graduate with a Bachelor\u2019s  degree you have to have a total of 120 credits at UW -Whitewater. Once  you get into your senior year you really start to stress and struggle  with your classes. It&#8217;s much more of anxiety one knowing you must pass  these classes in a certain amount of time to graduate. Mostly it takes  people on average for years to graduate with a bachelor&#8217;s degree. I  would say a Bachelor&#8217;s degree is different because there is a lot more pressure.
