My life has revolved around servant leadership and using my abilities to improve the lives of others around me. I have been, and currently am, involved in numerous organizations that provide me with responsibilities that allow for my continuous growth of leadership skills. I have been a member of National Honor Society (NHS) as of my sophomore year in high school, ending with a final cumulative GPA of 4.107. Within NHS, we planned and ran multiple philanthropy events including a charity fundraiser, 5K, baking sale, etc. I also founded a volunteer teen hotline through VOICES Domestic Violence Program, a local non-for-profit organization in Freeport. I have personally been through traumatic experiences with sexual assault, and I wanted to use my story to help others who are going through similar things. I went through over sixty hours of training on recognition of mental illnesses before I recruited teens who were also passionate to come alongside me to better our community.
I serve in multiple ministries between two churches. At Crossroads Community Church in Freeport, I lead praise and worship, as well as small groups and lessons for elementary students in Kidzlink. I also lead group discussions in Crave68, the 6th-8th grade ministry at Crossroads. I have led worship for Crave, the high school ministry, numerous times and have given messages to the students. I also serve on the adult main service worship team as a vocalist. For years prior, I regularly served in the preschool and kindergarten ministries and the nursery until I was promoted after becoming a high school student. At New Life Bible Church in Winnebago, I serve as a leader of the youth group and as a worship leader. I also serve on the adult service worship team when my schedule allows. My passion and love for people continually grows, and I am able to further develop my leadership and teamwork skills as I serve.
